Days like this make me remember why long-distance relationships suck ass.  All I need is a good hug but there's like 6 or more states in between us (Geography was not my best subject).  9 weeks down, 5 to go... I don't know how I'm going to handle it if he really does get deployed this year after all.  I don't know how but I know I will...

*Gets out soapbox*

I would just like to say that I hope whoever is out there reading this is not too stubborn to wear a seat-belt EVERY time they get in a car.  Wearing my seat-belt probably saved my life Thursday night and I would like to spread the word to encourage everyone else to wear their's ALL THE TIME.

Happy Holidays!

Well, it has certainly been a while...

Christmas was beautiful.  I spent it with Steven and his family in Jersey.  I have not had a Christmas like that since my parents were married and I was a kid.  It was very touching.  Steve and I got his parents, bother, and sister tickets to see Kooza as well as my Mom, step-dad, and sister.  Steve and I are going as well.  It should be a great time.  And hopefully not too stressful bringing all the families together. 

Steve got me the perfect gift.    I still can't stop smiling.

For New Years I think we will just be relaxing at home.  Tomorrow Mom's making an early dinner so we'll drag ourselves to Harrisburg for my favorite meal... Turkey dinner  

A few weeks ago Steve commissioned and graduated so now he is a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a concentration in Ecology and Environmental Biology.  I could not be more proud.

Now I must send him off for BOLC II and BOLC III (Army schools) in Oklahoma and Texas respectively.  I will be driving down to OK with him 1/9/08 and flying back with out him 1/12/08.  He'll graduate BOLC III April 22nd and then come back home finally.  Have not yet decided if I will be flying down for the graduation then doing the drive back with him again.  He wants me to save the money.... we shall see.  This is the longest I've had to be with out him so far.  It will be tough but I'm not too worried.  I have to start getting used to it.  The rumor is his unit will be deploying for 1 year come September.  No official orders have been received but from what I am told... Army deployment rumors usually come true.  He will probably be going to Iraq but like I said, orders have not yet been received.

That's pretty much all that's new with me.  I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays as much as I did.
